As a part of their bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics, Tokyo is designing their eco-stadium as part of their bid. The country is hoping to win the bid over Chicago, Madrid, and Rio de Janeiro with their sustainably oriented plan, which is the use of solar power. Aside from the use of solar energy, the stadium is also completed by reusing the current facilities instead of building a new one, which will surely make them stand out amongst other bidders. This eco-stadium of Tokyo will also use green roofs aside from it being solar powered. The green roofs will definitely help minimize storm water overflow.
