A rendering of the Transbay Transit was revealed and I was amazed not only of its excellent architectural design but with its aim to go green and meet the requirements of becoming an eco-friendly structure as well. It aims for a LEED gold certification and is not the usual enclosed transit station that everybody is used to. The entire station will be naturally ventilated, and rumors are coming out that a geothermal energy will be tapped. This 1,500-foot-long building is planned to be built by 2010. Right at this very moment, all are still contented with the renderings and excited for its fruition.
